Why Take the Florida Drug and Alcohol Course?

The Florida Drug and Alcohol Course, also referred to as the Florida TLSAE course, is required by Florida law for all first-time drivers until July 31st, 2025 (regardless of age), and then only for those age 18 or older starting August 1st, 2025. Thus, this course requirement can often be thought of as for teens only; however, it also applies to any first-time adult drivers that are 18 and older who have never held a driver license issued by Florida or any other state.
