When do I need the ADI course?
Four common situations: a license revoked or suspended by the Florida DHSMV, applying for a Florida hardship license (proof of enrollment is enough), a Habitual Traffic Offender (HTO) designation, or a judge- or court-ordered 12-hour driver improvement course. Do I have to report my completion?
If you're taking the course for a suspension, revocation, or hardship license, we report your completion to the DHSMV. If a judge or court ordered the course, you turn the certificate in to them on or before your due date.
What if I can't finish by my court date?
Contact the court on file for your case to request a deadline extension. Some courts allow a grace period, or accept a certificate postmarked before the due date — but neither is guaranteed.
